The insulated tubular busbar uses a high-conductivity copper or aluminum tube as the conductor, wrapped in multiple layers of insulation and enclosed in a metal or non-metallic protective shell. The circular tube gives the smallest surface-area-to-volume ratio for a given section, so heat dissipates efficiently through internal air convection or micro-positive-pressure dry air or nitrogen, outperforming flat busbar. Its symmetric cylindrical form minimizes skin and proximity effects, lowering AC resistance and raising effective current capacity. Multi-layer insulation - PTFE tape, silicone rubber, or epoxy impregnation - delivers uniform electric field strength and aging resistance, while the enclosed aluminum-magnesium shell adds mechanical protection and electromagnetic shielding. The result is compact, low-impedance transmission suited to 35 kV-class and thousands-of-ampere service.

We tune the insulation system and conductor size to your voltage and current. Because insulation layers must match the operating voltage, we select the wrap material and layering from your rated voltage level rather than a generic package, controlling partial discharge and dielectric stress. Conductor diameter and wall thickness are then set to your current requirement and short-circuit duty, so you are not forced to accept an oversized tube or an undersized one. Buyers receive a tubular busbar whose insulation rating and conductor section are matched to their station parameters, reducing wasted copper or aluminum.

Applications

  • Vertical power supply risers in super high-rise buildings. The tube's compact diameter and low impedance fit a restricted riser shaft while carrying large vertical current loads.
  • Main feeds to large data-center server clusters. Low inductance and consistent heat handling keep voltage drop and thermal rise controlled across long runs.
  • New-energy station connections between transformers and switchgear in photovoltaic and wind farms. The enclosed, shielded tube replaces overhead runs in exposed switchyard layouts at 35 kV class.

Customization

We select insulation material and layering to your voltage class, set conductor diameter and wall thickness to your current and short-circuit duty, and specify shell material and protection level. Drawings and technical parameters are reviewed before production.

Packaging & Transportation

Sections are packed in fumigation-free plywood crates reinforced for international transport. We ship under FOB, EXW, or DDP terms, with T/T payment.

FAQ

Q: Can the conductor diameter be sized to my current requirement?

A: Yes. Tube diameter and wall thickness are set from your rated current and short-circuit duty rather than a fixed catalog size.

Q: How is the insulation chosen for a specific voltage?

A: Insulation material and layer count are matched to your rated voltage to control dielectric stress and partial discharge.

Q: What payment and trade terms apply?

A: Payment is by T/T; trade terms include FOB, EXW, and DDP, with currency in RMB or USD.
